XDP XD331 Crankshaft Dowel Pin Kit (2001-2016 Duramax)

From the factory, your Duramax uses a dowel pin on the crankshaft to hold the balancer in place. In both stock and performance applications, these dowel pins are easily sheared causing the balancer to spin on the snout of the crankshaft. When the balancer spins, it can throw off the balance of the engine and create harsh vibrations. Continued operation in these conditions will likely result in serious engine damage such as a broken crankshaft.

If using PPE, ATI, or a Super Damper, the counter weight must be removed before installing drill collar. 

This tool is not currently compatible with the re-designed Fluidamprs made in 2020 and later that have 6-bolt holes on the face of the damper.
