Description
Replace the faulty sensor in your Ford 7.3L Powerstroke with the XDP Air Charge Temperature (ACT) Sensor XD1040. This sensor monitors the temperature of the incoming air charge and relays that data to the ECM. If the original sensor begins to fail or has failed, you may experience reduced performance, rough running conditions, diagnostic trouble codes, and a check engine light. The XD1040 is built to meet the specifications of the original sensor and fits into the stock location making it a direct and straightforward replacement.
This sensor is also sometimes referred to as a Manifold Air Temperature (MAT) Sensor. It is mounted in the intake "y" portion of the 7.3L intake manifold and measures the pressurized air going into the engine.
