Tech Tip:
The Mass Air Flow (MAF) sensor is mounted in the intake air tube just downstream of the air filter housing. You’ll need to remove this sensor during installation of a cold air intake and sometimes when servicing the intake system. While replacing a functioning MAF sensor isn’t necessary, it is generally a good practice to inspect, clean, or replace it (if needed) when it’s removed for intake system service or upgrades.
