The XDP Manifold Absolute Pressure (MAP) Sensor XD1016 is a direct-fit replacement to help get your Ford F-250, F-350, F-450, or F-550 equipped with a 6.7L Powerstroke back on the road. If a MAP Sensor has failed, it can cause rough running conditions, diagnostic trouble codes, and other issues. XDP Sensors are made from high-quality materials and components to ensure precise function, response times, and proper communication with the electronic systems in your truck.
The MAP Sensor is mounted in the upper intake manifold toward the firewall on the 6.7L Powerstroke trucks. In its factory location, it is susceptible to soot buildup which can contaminate the sensor causing irregular readings, and even sensor failure.

As mentioned above this sensor is susceptible to soot buildup due to its location. Many turbo and intake upgrades require removal of the upper intake manifold. While replacing a working MAP Sensor is not required, many will inspect, clean, or replace the MAP Sensor (if needed) when performing service work or installing upgrades that require removal of the upper intake.
