Make sure that your transmission stays cool with the Mishimoto MMTC-RAM2-TBV Transmission Thermal Bypass Valve. The stock cooling system of both the 68rfe and Aisin AS69RC utilize an in-line thermal bypass valve that controls the flow of fluid to the transmission cooler. The purpose of this valve is to prevent transmission fluid from flowing to the cooler until it reaches operating temperature. The stock thermostat inside this valve is prone to failure, and when that happens, the fluid never flows to the cooler and the transmission can overheat. This upgraded Thermal Bypass valve gives you the option to run the included thermostat or full bypass valve making it a great option for those who may be in a mix of hot and cold weather.
