The “normally available” cores on the market are designed around the use of ice water, which just doesn’t cut it. The secondary system cools with 110°F water; this was a key factor in developing an efficient and high-flowing core. Thus, the intercooler core (dubbed The Booklung) is specifically designed by SPE for the 6.7L Powerstroke.
