The Banks Power 42168 Super-Scoop from SDS will enhance the effectiveness of the Banks Ram-Air Intake System on your 2003-2007 Chevrolet 6.6L Duramax LB7/LLY/LBZ. This scoop connects below the front bumper, forcing a big amount of cool, pressurized ram air into the Ram-Air Intake's filter housing. The air delivered to the engine has greater density and makes more power than the warmer air inside the engine bay because it is drawn from outside the engine compartment. With the Super-Scoop's cool denser air, fuel economy can improve while smoke and exhaust temperatures are reduced. It also has built-in channels for rainwater and debris to drain out of the back of the scoop.
